Great performance of Enrico Toccacelo in the International F.3000 last testing day.

The Coloni Motorsport’s 23 years-old scored an excellent third time (1.28.412), behind the czech Tomas Enge and the swedish Bjorn Wirdheim. Toccacelo scored his best time in the afternoon session, whereas Wirdheim obtained his fastest lap in the morning, when the track was clearly quicker.

Coloni Motorsport: “We are very satisfied with the performances and the reliability shown by the new Lola B2/50. The car has been immediately fast, easy to drive and stable. These qualities showed the excellent work made by Lola engineers in the wind tunnel. The new suspensions design guaranteed more grip in the slow corners and, thanks to new Ohlins shock-absorbers, the understeer is almost absent. The new Avon tyres impressed our engineers for the performances constancy. We’re observing the working program. The Coloni Motorsport’s italian challenge to the F.3000 International Championship began in the best way: and next week we should like to add another italian flag on our cars.”

Enrico Toccacelo: “I am satisfied with the work made by the team. I easily obtained my times and without any risk. The new Lola B2/50 is very fast.” 

After testing, the team’s members are very confident. The development program with the new simulating systems is getting the first results, and the feeling between Enrico Toccacelo and the team improve day by day. Next week, Coloni Motorsport will be in Barcelona for the 2nd International F.3000 official testing session.
