During day two of the test Enrico Toccacelo and Giorgio Pantano continued to progress in the Coloni Motorsport’s new Lola and were on the top of the times. The team continued trying out various set-ups and the two cars was performing well. The fastest times of the day were set by Tomas Enge (1.34.413) in the sunny but cool conditions in the afternoon session. Pantano was again in form, setting the 4th quickest time (1.35.602). Toccacelo took a good 8th time with 1.35.926, just after the start of the afternoon session.

Coloni Motorsport: “Enrico was extremely fast with his first set of new tyres. He impressed the team expecially in race conditions. His felling about the car was very good. Giorgio did a great job today, concentrated in testing new set-up solutions. Now, we are extremely satisfied with the development done and we look forward to the first race. We hope to announce the Coloni Motorsport’s line-up at the end of this week.”

Enrico Toccacelo: “I am very happy overall with the two days. I just missed out a bit on the second set of tyres this afternoon. We did a good programme of running and we're on the pace. We tested the car with a full tank like in race conditions and the times were consistent. I think you have to learn the maximum you can at these official tests because once you start the championship you don't get a lot of time to test and improve.”

Giorgio Pantano: “This afternoon we used the time to try and improve the car with new solutions. I did a very important job with the Team and at the end of this two days testing session I am extremely satisfied with the car.”

Times, day 2: 1. Enge 1.34.413; 2. B. Wirdheim 1.35.054; 3. S. Bourdais 1.35.293; 4. Giorgio Pantano 1.35.602 (52); 5. P. Friesacher .135.660; 6. Rodrigo Sperafico 1.35.699; 7. N. Kiesa 1.35.765; 8. Enrico Toccacelo 1.35.926 (34).
