The second race of the FIA International Formula 3000 Championship takes place in Imola next weekend after Grand Prix San Marino F1 qualifying session.  Tiago Monteiro will race the Super Nova Renault F1 Junior Team Lola nº5. 

Tiago Monteiro: "As opposed to Brazil where I didn't know the track, we have tested already in Imola which means I will not lose much time in qualifying having to learn the track.  We did a shakedown on Friday at Snetterton where we tested various set-ups to get better traction in the slow corners, which is important in Imola and we also have a better balance now.  I am pretty confident for the weekend. 

The schedule for Imola is as follows:- 

Friday (12/4/2002)
1420 - 1500 Qualifying Session 1
1530 - 1615 Qualifying Session 2 

Saturday (13/4/2002)
1500 Race - 31 Laps
