Positons 9 (Friesacher) und 10 (Mauricio).

Second poleposition for Sebastien Bourdais
(Fra)!
The Formula 3000 Qualfiying at the
" Autodromo Dino e Enzo Ferrari" at Imola was some
kind of a wheather lottery.
For
the first time, the new Lola Zytek 2002 was running on rainy conditions and
the drivers had to fight against very difficult and changing conditions. At
the first session, the qualifying was started on wet tyres. And there was
just a small "window" of 5 minutes at the beginning and five
miutes at hte end of the first session to set the time. And the Red Bull
Junior Team missed the time just by a few moments.
Positions 9 (Patrick) and 10 (Ricardo) are a
little bit disappointing:
PF.: "For sure, we´ve missed the right time, for setting our personal
best times on top. But I am still optimistic for tomorrow. Especially when the
rain will come back for the race, we should have a very competitive rain-set
up."
