With neither Justin Wilson nor Tomas Enge staying, Nordic will be looking for drivers capable of taking them to a second championship. That means a promising driver with a year's experience at another F3000 team, probably paired with Monza debutant Jaroslav Janis.

Manager Paul Jackson has made it clear he wants to keep Antonio Pizzonia and Ricardo Sperafico. While he looks likely to keep Sperafico, Pizzonia could be tempted away.

At the start of the year, David Sears would have expected to have a couple of extra trophies for his cabinet this winter...but he has none. Mark Webber says he's driven his last F3000 race, and Mario Haberfeld is unlikely to remain in the series either. Sears is thought to be trying to get Pizzonia from Petrobras, to be paired with Sebastien Bourdais

Team boss Jean-Paul Driot told AUTOSPORT last month that he is considering a pull-out from the category unless he can find talented drivers with budgets. Both DAMS and Apomatox have raced in F3000 since 1989, longer than any other current team.  (December 6th news)
