Red Bull Junior Team F3000 Vitantonio Liuzzi and Patrick Friesacher
with RED BULL JUNIOR TEAM FORMULA 3000 in 2003 FIA - Formula 3000 International.
For the coming season, Vitantonio Liuzzi (Italy) and Patrick Friesacher (Austria), two of the most talented and promising drivers on their way to Formula One, will race for the new team of Red Bull Junior Team F3000.
Coloni Motorsport is one of the top F3000 teams, becoming second in team and driver championship with Giorgio Pantano in the last season.
The new line-up aims straight to the 2003 title, offering a veritable chance for the drivers’ careers and pursuing Red Bull’s project tended to support young drivers from carting to Formula One.
Liuzzi, 2001 Karting World Champion, after a good season in the German F.3 Championship, enjoyed the Coloni Motorsport team in four successful testing sessions in Magione, Imola, Misano and Barcelona. The Italian tested also with BMW WilliamsF1 Team in Valencia (E) with very good results.
For Friesacher, 23 years old, with good experience in the German and French F3 Championship, 2003 will be the third season in International F3000. He is considered as the great Austrian Motorsport promise in order to follow Austria’s successful path in Formula One.
The Red Bull Junior Team Formula 3000’s debut is expected for 20 and 21 February on the Italian track “Enzo and Dino Ferrari” in Imola, for an official two days testing session.
