Wilson Confirmed at Nordic for 2001 F3000 Championship

 FIA Formula 3000 International Championship

Justin Wilson has signed for the Coca Cola Nordic Formula 3000 Racing Team, where he will be joined by Czech driver, Tomas Enge.

The 1998 Formula Palmer Audi Champion had an excellent 2000 season with the Norfolk based team, taking two podium finishes on his way to 5th overall in this ultra competitive championship.  Staying with Nordic leaves Sheffield’s Wilson in the perfect position to fight for the title.  The top British driver was excited with the deal that has secured his third year in F3000.  “I’m very pleased with the news.  Coca Cola are an excellent sponsor, and they are fully committed to the programme.  I’m really looking forward to next season, as we have learnt a lot this year, and we can now build on that to challenge strongly for the championship.”

Jonathan Palmer was delighted that Justin would be remaining at Nordic next year.  “Justin is an outstanding all round driver, who will really benefit from a second year at Nordic Racing.  With backing from Coca Cola and the teams increased technical support, he can really build on his achievements this year, and he will be a strong contender for the 2001 Formula 3000 title.”
