F3000 CHAMPIONSHIP 2001. ROUND 5, MONACO – 26.5.2001

Patrick Friesacher (Red Bull Junior Team F3000) with a new teammate on a new circuit.
"A perfect feeling, to race at Monaco – a personal dream for every
pilot Ricardo Mauricio is maybe good for me – even here at Monte Carlo!“
After his home race at Spielberg, Patrick Friesacher is facing another complete new situation at the “Monte Carlo Classique-Grand Prix”.
New circuit and a new teammate as well – but the Red Bull Junior is optimistic for his personal dream, which will became true at Saturdays race.
Maybe he can learn something from his new teammate, Ricardo Mauricio, even here at Monte Carlo:
“Ricardo Mauricio was already competing at 14 races for the Red Bull F3000 Team, even here at Monaco – so he does know all the detail. Could be helpful for my set-up. But finally, you have to go your own way. I will try to make no mistakes at all – hard enough here at the streets of Monaco. A top ten result should be o.k. for me!”
Dr. Helmut Marko: “I will expect both drivers to reach the top ten – Ricardo should be around top six, even with his experience at Monaco!” Last Saturday, Patrick met
Jacques Villeneuve at the
“tecnissage” of his personal sponsor
“REMUS”. Sure, we talked about Monaco - and he told me some secrets. Hopefully they can help me!”
