Friesacher (Red Bull Junior Team F3000) was deeply disappointed after his
qualifying for the sixth round of the F3000 championship at the Nürburgring.
Friesacher will start tomorrows race (3.00 p.m.) from the 11th
position – just 0,708 seconds behind pole man Tomas Enge (Czech Republic),
1:30,409.
Patrick
Friesacher: „I just could not find the right set-up for this afternoon. I had
no grip, even at the fast corners of the circuit. For tomorrow, there is just a
little chance for some points, when I will make a perfect start!“
Patrick’s
teammate Ricardo Mauricio was just 0,126 of a second faster than the young
Austrian – position 9 for the young Brazilian driver at his second race after
his comeback.
Poleposition:
Tomas Enge (Nordin Racing): 1:30,409!
Team-owner Dr. Helmut Marko was disappointed, too: „Patrick had a very bad practice – no set-up, no grip, a few mistakes. Tomorrow, just a perfect start would help him into the points. Even from Ricardo I had expected a little bit more!”
