Patrick Friesacher (Red Bull Junior Team F3000) got back to his personal strength by achieving the best F3000 result he ever had - ten days ago in France.

Even the weekend in France was not ideal, but the 4th place at Magny Cours was very important for Patrick himself and for his self-confidence after 4 rounds without any points in the F3000 championship. He is still focusing on one big target – to become the best rookie 2001. Currently he is 11th after 7 rounds.

His personal feelings for Silverstone are different: he was fastest at the official testing day on wet conditions last April but at the very fast circuit of Silverstone, he still had some problems on slicks, especially at the fast corners.

Patrick F.: "I wouldn’t be that sad if it starts raining in Britain again. But even on slicks it should be possible for me to push myself to a better result than in April.

Teammate Ricardo Mauricio (BRA) will come back to Silverstone without fond memories of last years’ race where he lost his car at the very beginning – on wet conditions.

Dr. Helmut Marko (Red Bull Junior Team F3000): „Both of them are able to achieve points – even at Silverstone. But it depends on the qualifying sessions.”
