The F3000 qualifying started very British – under wet conditions. The very fast circuit of Silverstone dried after earlier rain. The second session of the qualifying brought the decision for tomorrow’s starting grid.

And Ricardo Mauricio (Red Bull Junior Team F3000) did even one of his best qualifyings for the Red Bull Junior Team – he will start into tomorrow’s race from outstanding 5^th position. Mauricio will face the chance, to get tomorrow on the podium again. It would be his second podium after Hungary 2000, even for the Red Bull Junior Team F3000.

Patrick Friesacher (Red Bull Junior Team F3000) will start at his first Silverstone appearance from disappointing 13^th position on the grid. He had lost a lot of time at the fast parts of the Silverstone – right after the start-finish straight.

First row: the two Nordic drivers Justin Wilson and Tomas Enge, who were setting the pace again at the Silverstone´s qualifying.
