Round
10 of the F3000 Championship 2001 from showed the best team result for the Red
Bull Junior Team, within the last four years. Ricardo Mauricio became second and
made it onto the rostrum, Patrick Friesacher finished fourth in the very
strenuous race of Budapest.
With these results in the back, both drivers are highly motivated for the next
round of F3000 Championship in Spa Francorchamps (Belgium).
Especially
Patrick Friesacher, who dominated the last official test on the racetrack in the
Ardennes end of July, has great hope for this race. Patrick has been fastest in
dry conditions as well as with wet-tyres in heavy rain.
The
Team and the drivers are working hard to carry the performance of Hungary into
the two final rounds and to achieve a conciliatory end of a season that was not
always "trouble free".
Patrick
F.: “I had very successful testing days, personally. But that should not mean
that much for the following race weekend at Spa. Just a little bit of
self-confidence!”
Ricardo
M.: “I will try to commit my last race at Budapest. For me and my future, it
will be very important, to set some highlights at the last to F3000 races of the
season!”
