F3000 CHAMPIONSHIP - ROUND 12, MONZA, 2001-09-15
THE FINAL F3000 COUNTDOWN 2001 AT MONZA – EVEN FOR RED BULL JUNIOR TEAM F3000.
ANOTHER TOP RESULT AT THE END OF THE TEAM´S MOST SUCCESSFUL SEASON?
For the first time, the final round of the F3000 Championship 2001 will take place at the “royal park of Monza” near Milan where the Red Bull Junior Team F3000 will get another opportunity to confirm the good results of the last races in Hungary and Spa. Ricardo Mauricio became second and third, Patrick Friesacher finished fourth in the very strenuous race of Budapest and missed the points at Spa very tightly.
Still one race to go, this season is already the most successful ever of the Red Bull Junior Team F3000.
Both drivers are highly motivated for the final round of F3000 Championship in Monza.
Especially Patrick F. wants to finish his first F3000 season within points:
Patrick F.: “I finished seventh and eight at the official FIA-testing at Monza this year. So it should be possible to come into the points. Shortly before the long winter break a successful race would give me a lot of self-confidence for the next season!”
Ricardo M.: “A third podium place in a row – that would be great. Let’s wait and see. I am still running for my future season 2002.”
